Mulla Sadra’s Theory of Substantial Motion[1]

چکیده مقاله:
Mohammad Javad Rezaei* Mahdi Dasht Bozorgi** One of the most important philosophical theories of Mulla Sadra is substantial motion, which has greatly influenced other philosophical discussions. In this article, first we refer to the historical background of the theory before Mulla Sadra, namely in Peripatetic Philosophy, and then deal with Mulla Sadra’s innovations, such as transferring the discussion of motion from natural philosophy to metaphysics, explaining clearly substantial motion, stating the five important arguments for the theory, and finally showing its main philosophical results like the explanation of God’s creation, the reality of time, origination of the material world, the relation of the originated to pre-eternal being, the unity of the world, and proving God’s existence and the Resurrection. the effect of substantial movement theory on mulla sadra’s view of the soul
in the evolution of muslim’s philosophical thought, it was sadr al-motaallehin who overcame many of complexities in philosophical studies on the soul and presented a new outlook. it is clear that mulla sadra’s philosophical psychology has been depended upon his special principals. the present research, therefore, is to explain the effect of sadra’s theory of substantial movement, as one of his ...
متن کاملDiscrete Approximations to Reflected Brownian Motion1 by Krzysztof Burdzy
In this paper we investigate three discrete or semi-discrete approximation schemes for reflected Brownian motion on bounded Euclidean domains. For a class of bounded domains D in Rn that includes all bounded Lipschitz domains and the von Koch snowflake domain, we show that the laws of both discrete and continuous time simple random walks on D ∩ 2−kZn moving at the rate 2−2k with stationary init...
متن کاملBoundary Crossing Probabilities for Stationary Gaussian Processes and Brownian Motion1
Let X(t) be a stationary Gaussian process, /(/) a continuous function, and T a finite or infinite interval. This paper develops asymptotic estimates for P(X(t) > fit), some /er) when this probability is small. After transformation to an Ornstein Uhlenbeck process the results are also applicable to Brownian motion. In that special case, if W(t) is Brownian motion, / is continuously differentiabl...
متن کاملEvaluation of Substantial Equivalence of salinity-resistant transgenic potato
Transgenic plants and their products are being developed day by day due to their improved characteristics, and it is necessary to evaluate the safety of these plants before releasing them. Hence, the importance of the issue of biosafety of transgenic plants and the use of their products has led the regulatory agencies to create some laws called substantial equivalence. based on that, the essent...
